April 2009

Our ‘Emotional Suites’ are born, launching a new era of comfort, wellness and hotel hospitality. These fabulous suites boast panoramic mountain views and unique design using stone and natural wood.

2009

Hotel Milano becomes a little 'greener' after a major reconstruction project equipping the building with modern renewable energy installations, as well as 200 sqm of solar panelling now providing the heat for almost 50% of the hotel and 100% of hot water for both the hotel and spa.

July 18th 2007

Hotel Milano joins Great Hotels of the World, an alliance of the world’s finest luxury hotels and resorts comprising of 280 hotels worldwide.

December 8th 2004

The Alpen Suites are inaugurated - Hotel Milano’s first guest rooms to include in-room wellness area.

June 30th 2003

The Alpen Spa Organic Wellness Centre is officially open

December 19th 2002

The “Lounge Bar” is officially open

2001

A hotel management association called Exclusive Hotel Collection is founded by Hotel Milano.

December 23rd 1997

Hotel Milano is the first hotel in Europe to be ISO 9000-certified recognizing it meeting the Quality Management Standards outlined by the DNV Foundation.

1998

Hotel Milano becomes part of the hotel chain, Space Supranational.

December 1996

The Bergamo Chamber of Commerce awards Hotel Milano a gold medal recognizing their contribution to provincial economic development.

1996

Hotel Milano, along with 11 other high-level Italian companies in the sector, helps to establish "Bravissimo - Italian Hotel Company, an independent hotelier association that aims to improve hotel quality through professional development.

1995

The restaurant “la Stube” opens for business, specializing in the research and creation of ‘classic’ cuisine familiar to the entire Alps.

1989

The Conference Centre is opened with 7 meeting rooms with capacity for 10 to 110 people and La Residenza, with 23 Deluxe Rooms.

1985

"Enoteca Milano" is inaugurated, and only 2 short years later it becomes part of Vinarius, the exclusive association that recognizes the 70 best wine bars in Italy.

1982

Hotel Milano becomes a 4-star establishment.

1979

Hotel Milano is among the promoters and founders of Cooraltur, Orobic Tourist Hotel Operators Association, a consortium responsible for the marketing and promotion of tourism in the Presolana mountain area.

1975

As a result of constant improvements, the number of rooms is increased to 45. In the same year, in Rome, Hotel Milano receives the European Leader of tourism Award.

1969

Hotel Milano opens "Al Caminone", a restaurant able to accommodate up to 300 people. A third floor is added to the building along with a distinctive slate roof giving the hotel distinct connotations of a mountain hotel.

1964

A small summer resort is transformed into 24-room hotel. Following only 5 months of activity, the provincial commission for tourism promotion awards the Hotel Milano a higher ranking on the classification system (from a fourth to second category establishment).
